Poetry || SubmissionsPoems by Victoria GiannecchiniPOLAROIDS I have stumbled upon innumerous amounts of chanting the sexual air shocks me and I am quiet like a thousand times before an orange flash snaps me back I stretch a tired smile across a naked face pictures of me strewn along the mantle top remind me constantly of timeless sufferering BIRTH Limbs emerge from cobalt silence lungs unfold in cool air like pink wings fluttering we rush to the surface eyes wide smiling into the sun teeth reflecting a day of one more birth TSUNAMI Painted tsunamis attack the canvas risking bristles and stroke - to annihilate the vast white space Angry whorls disguise the calm at the point of perspective, cross strokes (persimmon and cobalt blue) cause the eye to flutter and realize grief in the foreground Victoria Giannecchini of Simi Valley, Califnornia received a BA in Creative Writing from San Francisco State University. "I feel that the diversity of voices I experienced while attending SFSU, helped to shape my own voice. This summer I will attend California State University Northridge to begin working on my MA in poetry. My poetry has appeared in the Lucid Stone, South Ash Press, The Peninsula Review and several other poetry journals." You can write to her rcoe4@earthlink.net Today's Situation
