Poetry || SubmissionsShorts by Temple PonderBroken Taste the bitterness, swallow the guilt. Stinging the mind like wild poison. A weakening memory is all I have left. Soar in my mind and rush at my heart. Pulling apart! Pulling apart! Honey Bee Little flickers inside my belly like buzzing beauties. Dizzying me with waves of heat, making me want more of you. I'm afraid I cannot get you close enough to feel the sting yourself. Gone Goodbye passion flower. I miss you miserably. Covering you in thickets of kisses was my favorite sin. You are the sunlight and the dusk and I am hungery for where we've been. Lost Soul My dirty hands cannot wash off where they have been. In strange unfamiliar places, abandoning their sacred shelf. Untitled The blisters on my soul have become hard. Leaving an unpolished surface incapable of human penetration. All love lost anchors to this spot, like dragging chains. Forever reminding me of an emptiness incapable of conservation. Temple Ponder writes that she is from Texas, and is the 34 year old mother of three boys, and says she has enjoyed writing poetry 'for years.' Today's Situation
