Poetry || SubmissionsThe Opposites in One by Renee Giusti (aka madneenee)The heart of Napoleon the meekness of Miss Moffet- There is no yong or yang for me: I got both fish in here, swimming in opposite ways. The lion and the mouse are fighting over how the thorn got there, but neither know how to get it out. My once proud lion seems to be lost with the sheep but God help us when she finally breaks free. Rage seeps out faster than any thorn can plug. Mouse too has her days of weak yes-sir-I-wills. She just wants the spiders to go away, but they keep on comin' back, the hole unplugged. Both forces pull at the one until the one is undone. Renee Giusti (aka madneenee) lives in New York City where she gets to pay people at the Roundabout Theatre Company. She has been creating rhymes since birth and intends to make poetry hip again. Youc an write to her c/oreneeg@www.roundabouttheatre.org Today's Situation
