Poetry || SubmissionsThree Poems by Gregory FrugoliMemory is Blood My hands are open and the palms are ashes Tomorrow the ashes will be gone So today I want to rub them under my chin and on my face and smell them Tomorrow I will regret the ashes ever being born Regret the fire, even the spark that gave birth to those ashes And I'll shake because of it And that begins the end of my life My life that ends in death My hands, if you could see them now are prepared to tell you exactly what TRUTH is. One nip under the nail provides an adequate excuse for redemption Pluck it! Receive your own version of fate Of course, the palm may read like a map of your own choice You can travel any road you please Together we will slip and slide and squander!
