Poetry || SubmissionsOliver CutshawLong StreetsThe street is longer because I lingeredover the curve of the beer glass and the curls of smoke and idle conversation in the waiting room of night: my local bar. I studied the clock wondering how long and short an hour can be, and when I felt I fully wasted my time I wandered out the door. Walking home with the music in my ears, and the thoughts and the beers each drifts away from me one by one, blossoms departing the tree until it seems that all I remember is that I am alone and the echoes of my footsteps are the only lyrics I can recall. Oliver Cutshaw is a Librarian at Harvard University. He has poems online here. Today's Situation
