MY FLOWER GARDEN
As I stand looking out in my flower garden I know that our Father meant for this world to be a pretty place and that He only wanted what is best for us. All we have to do is look at a rose. How beautiful it is to see God at work, the many colors: red, pink, yellow. How can anyone not take the time to really see a rose and not see who God is?
Think of all the things He has created. Slow down and really look at the world and you can see Him everywhere. From the sky to the ground. The stars in the sky shining so bright. The animals each a different color and so different. The trees that come in so many shapes and colors. The rivers and oceans of this world that cover the Earth. Birds of all colors, butterflies, hummingbirds that sing. It is a world of so much beauty if only we would slow down long enough to see it. The Bible says to take in knowledge of Him, all we have to do is slow down, be quiet, and look and listen. We hurry through from one thing to another, and we don't even know the beautiful things and peace that is here for us.
We as people don't know how to enjoy the things that He has given us. We are so busy building and want money and power, that we forget that in the end that won't be important. That the things in this world are only borrowed for awhile. That love, caring, and compassion will be what matters in the end.
All I need to do is to walk through my flower garden and I know that there's a higher power than me. When I feel the rain and wind on my face, I know He is there. God is in each of us. If we will only slow down long enough to feel and find Him, He is in all things.
Wouldn't it be nice if everybody planted flowers? Just stop and think about it and think what the world would look like then.
No, I will never want to give up my flower garden. And I know that when God looks at it, He is pleased that I try to make the world a better place. We all need to leave it better than we find it, and I think a flower garden does that.
