    FRIEND

What does the word "friend" mean to us? To me a friend is someone that cares about our feelings and what is best for us. It is someone who will be there when we stumble and there with the good times: someone who will love us in spite of our faults. They will keep praying for us and hope that the day will come when we can see the mistakes that we have made, to change them, and not be judgmental for the only person that we can control is ourself.

Each person has to travel his own road in life and learn from his mistakes. We have to learn to forgive others like our Father will help us if we ask. At times we think we all have the answers. We don't. Our Father in heaven does. Until we learn to listen to Him and let Him guide us we lose, we as people don't have the answer to all of life's problems.

We do know that He does. He made the Earth and us. So he knows how it works. We just have to trust in Him and he will give us the answers to life's problems.

It is hard to admit to ourself that we can't fix people and things in this world. Wouldn't it be nice if we could? But we ourselves are imperfect humans. God is the only one that knows what has happened, and the one who can set it right if we let Him. We too often try to do it our way and end up making it worse than it was. It's hard to sit back and let go. We have to put our faith in Him and know that He wants what's best for us. That we pray to let His will be done. Then we take it away from Him and want to do it our way.

God is Friend. One who will never hurt or disappoint us. He keeps his promises. And will always love and protect us if we will let Him. We go hunting people that we think will give us love and protection. It was there all the time. He said "You come to me you were thirsty, hungry and depressed" and He will give you rest. That's His promise. God doesn't lie. He always keeps promises.

We only need one true friend in this world; that's God. He will always be there for us if we let Him. He sees all and he knows all. Who do we think that knows us better than people? God. Doesn't He know when we lie? He knows when we do wrong. He knows everything about us. We can't cover from Him. He's the kind of friend we all need that can tell us the truth about ourself.
