Al-Liqa, a Palestinian center for religious and heritage studies in the Holy Land, was founded in Jerusalem in 1983 by a group of Christian and Muslim Palestinian Arabs. The Center has created a lively dialogue and fostered understanding between the peoples of these two religions.

In addition, since 1986 the Center has helped to define the role of the local church and to formulate a contextualized Palestinian theology. Starting in 1989, members of Al-Liqa' have been involved in local meetings and international conferences fostering a tri-lineal dialogue for Jews, Christians and Muslims.

Today's Situation
