In the midst of a great deal of political activity, the Palestinian Association for Cultural Exchange (PACE) – in cooperation with the Israeli Committee Against House Demolitions (ICAHD) – would like to take advantage of the Succot holiday and offer you a two-day of Palestine, to be held on October 7-8.

Before our eyes an actual country called Palestine is slowly, painfully but steadily emerging. In many ways it is a country as foreign to us as Thailand or Brazil, struggling for its own self-definition. It is a country with a history, a culture, a cuisine, an historical geography rich in sites, a diverse people. It is a country that we, as Israelis, should and must come to know. Palestine is both our neighbor and, sharing our geographic, historical and cultural space, is part of ourselves.

PACE, The Palestinian Association for Cultural Exchange, is an organization of Palestinian professionals, located in Ramallah, dedicated to promoting awareness of Palestine’s cultural heritage through cultural tourism. The Director of PACE, Dr. Adel Yahya, an archaeologist, would like to reach out to Israelis interested in learning more about Palestinian history, politics and culture. The two-day tour of Palestine (the West Bank) offered by PACE will expose us to both the country’s historical and cultural dimensions as well as a look at political issues, such as house demolitions.

The itinerary includes the following sites and activities:
