The itinerary includes 10 1/2 weeks at Kibbutz Gezer in central Israel studying sustainable community design and "eco-archeology", 2 1/2 week at kibbutzim in the Negev studying desert ecology, permaculture design, and solar energy, and a week visiting a variety of kibbutzim, communities and other ecological projects around the Galilee. A 4 day wilderness trip and a 4 day silent retreat are also included. Permaculture Design Course Kibbutz Lotan, Israel, 21st November - 3rd December. Certified Design Course, held on an ecological kibbutz in the Arava desert, with numerous examples of environmental solutions, building, gardening, compostmaking, and ornithology! The Eastern Mediterranean is of crucial importance in our history on the planet. This is where farming was first developed ten thousand years ago, and is the cradle of the early western civilisations. It is fitting that we bring Permaculture insights and Ecovillage aspirations back to this region, honouring traditions at the same time as we develop the latest environmental techniques. We welcome you to join us in this crucial task. All programs are in English. For details please contact:
